Getting Ready for Thursday's 2022 National Day of Prayer"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." (Colossians 2:6-7; NLT)
The Lord loves this nation where there are so many who have chosen Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. But, there are many more in need of Him! This year's theme focuses on strengthening our faith, so we can share Him with those that don't yet know Him. Let us join together in faith on this National Day of Prayer for a great harvest of souls in America! Here is a letter from the National Day of Prayer Committee which provides information on how you can pray for America on Thursday: In the spirit of being prepared for what God is going to do, here are some ways you can participate. Post or Find a Local Event If you haven't yet, please post your local event information on our National Day of Prayer Event Finder (click here). You can also search to find a local event near you. As we prepare to gather in prayer Thursday, let's also prepare our hearts for God to will and to work through us in the midst of it all. Please pray with me ... Father, we come before You with a heart to exalt You, to glorify Your Name, and to stand in the gap for our nation. Lord, our leaders and our culture need You. As we gather [this] week to pray, pour out Your love, compassion, and concern into our hearts. Cleanse us of all fear and unbelief, and instill us with faith to believe that You are God Almighty and that Your Words are faithful and true—that "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." In Jesus' name, amen. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here In Christ, Dion Elmore For the future of our nation, Mike & Cindy Jacobs
