(Washington, DC) — [LifeSiteNews.com] The Biden administration's Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday announced the launch of a "reproductive rights task force" to police states' pro-life laws. (Screengrab image)

The DOJ task force will monitor states' abortion restrictions to prevent "overreach," and consider legal challenges against additional protections for the unborn, including bans on abortion-inducing drugs and laws preventing women from traveling out of state to kill their unborn babies, The Washington Post reported.

"The Justice Department is committed to protecting access to reproductive services," Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta said in a statement, according to the Post.

The move to establish a task force for policing state's pro-life laws comes after the Supreme Court's historic decision in in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which reversed 49 years of federal abortion precedent by overturning Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992)...
