The nail-biting situation unfolded when a wrong-way driver was spotted on I-70 around 11 p.m. According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, the situation could have been dangerous or deadly.

"The driver was headed westbound in the eastbound lanes at highway speeds and could potentially cause a collision," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.
