[Biden] is expected to make the announcement Friday.

Media outlets report he will pick Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, 51, to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer, 83, who announced his retirement last month.

Jackson, who once clerked for Breyer, is a judge for the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, where many of her high-profile rulings have been overruled by high courts.
