Posted by Darren on the evening of Dec. 8: Upon arriving in this quarantine centre in Toronto, I have been in isolation and solitary confinement. It has been 28 hours. I still don't know the exact location of where I am or how long I will be here. Since I have been here, only two people came in the room to clean it. They looked like stormtroopers out of Star Wars. One nurse called me on the phone [asking me] to give her a reading of my temperature. She did not ask me how I was. She got the temperature and hung up. Three times a day they knock on my door and leave bags of food which I have chosen not to eat. I was born free in Canada and have always chosen my own food. I will not eat these bags of tyranny. We have been treated like animals and criminals. The people have no heart in this place. Their only concern is that we are locked up.

Posted by Darren on the evening of Dec. 8: We do not know where I am. I am near the Toronto airport about 2 km away, because [I hear] planes fly over all the time. My family is not allowed to come here and they are not allowed to give me a care package. I've been in the same clothes for three days. I have no razor to shave or other personal care products. No one in this place has called to see if I have a need. I have no SIM card in my phone (it was broken when I was in Africa), so I'm relying on Wi-Fi to connect with the outside world.
