[Generals International] The theme for this year's National Day of Prayer is "Love One Another". "Beloved, if God loved us, we also ought to love one another." Jesus taught that the two greatest commandments both include love: "Love the Lord our God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and, love your neighbor as yourself." "Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love." (Image: Pixabay)
Join us in spreading the love of God on the National Day of Prayer.
Ways to pray:
Pray for our President – Direction & Protection
Father, we ask You to lead, guide, direct and order the steps of President Trump. Speak to him in his inner man regarding what steps to take for our nation. We also pray for the protection of President Trump and his family. Place a hedge of protection around them that no fiery darts of the enemy may come near their dwelling, and keep them from all hurt, harm, and danger in Jesus name.
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people-for kings and all those in authority." (Timothy 2:1-2, NIV)
Pray for our Nation - Unity & Healing
Father, we pray for unity and healing to come to our nation. We are a nation that is divided and the only way we can come together is through your healing and restorative power. Please forgive us for our sins and trespass toward one another. Bring us together in unity and healing from past hurts.
"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people." (Proverbs 14:34, NIV)
Pray for our Church - Revival & Awakening
Father, we pray for the Church which is the Body of Christ. "For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ". "But as it is, God arranged the members of the body, each one of them, as He chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body." Father, help us, the Body of Christ, come together as one in unity and one accord. "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the house where they were sitting". It is time for revival and awakening to come to the Church! We must come together in unity and one accord.
"... We pray that You give unto us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You: The eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of Your calling, and what the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe, according to the working of Your mighty power, which You wrought in Christ..." (Ephesians 1:17-23, ASV)
