10 Republicans Side With Dems to Provide Amnesty to Haitian Illegals"'Haitians fleeing danger.' You know who ELSE was fleeing danger? An innocent mom in FLORIDA just last week, who was brutally bludgeoned to death with a hammer outside of a convenience store. How many more Americans do we need to see get M*RDERED!?" -Representative Chip Roy
And that brings me to the Republican Party. Once again, they are turning their backs on voters. Ten Republicans are partnering with Democrats to protect 350,000 Haitian refugees. They would be provided by what is known as TPS—"temporary protected status." But there's nothing temporary about it. Most illegals end up being protected permanently. It's nothing more than backdoor amnesty for hundreds of thousands of illegals. The lower chamber passed the resolution by a vote of 224-204, with 10 Republicans crossing the aisle: Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), Mike Lawler (NY), Don Bacon (NB) Maria Elvira Salazar (FL), Carlos Gimenez (FL), Nicole Malliotakis (NY), Rich McCormick (GA), Mike Turner (OH), Mike Carey (OH) and Mario Diaz-Balart (FL). Rep. Kevin Kiley (CA), an independent who caucuses with Republicans, also voted "yes." Congressman Brandon Gill, the Republican from Texas, said "it is an abomination that any Republican would vote to support TPS." He also pointed out that 65 percent of Haitian non-citizen households are on welfare. "They are draining our resources, making America weaker and poorer. It is absolutely idiotic to give them backdoor amnesty by extending TPS," Gill said. Rep. Chip Roy R (TX) issued a blistering rebuke of his Republican colleagues. "'Haitians fleeing danger.' You know who ELSE was fleeing danger? An innocent mom in FLORIDA just last week, who was brutally bludgeoned to death with a hammer outside of a convenience store," he said. "How many more Americans do we need to see get M*RDERED!?" A Harvard/Harris poll shows 56 percent of registered voters back deportation. Same findings from a New York Times/Siena poll. It might be a good idea to call your congressman and remind them of those poll results. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
