Trump Talks War, Peace, and the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ in Fox Interview"It takes care of the border, no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime," Trump told Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures."
There will be a 68% tax increase if the Big, Beautiful Bill doesn't pass, Trump said Sunday morning on Fox News. "It takes care of the border, no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime," Trump told Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures." Bartiromo noted that some Republican senators like Rick Scott, R-Fl, and Mike Lee, R-UT, are concerned about the overall cost of the Big, Beautiful Bill and the Inflation Reduction Act. Trump said that "we're cutting $1.7 trillion," but "you have to be a little bit careful because people don't like necessarily cutting if they get used to something, and what I want to do is do it through growth." When it comes to the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act, Trump said he does not think the US should be "giving money to these scams" like green subsidies. "What happened is some of these projects have been started, so I understand that too," Trump said. "People are working there and they're from the district of a congressman or a senator. ... The Inflation Reduction Act was another Biden scam." Regarding the Iran conflict, Trump said it was "a beautiful thing" how the US handled it. "We went in, we destroyed their nuclear capability, and we stopped," Trump remarked. The president also talked peace. The Abraham Accords, the set of agreements establishing diplomatic relations between Israel and several of its Arab neighbors during Trump's first term, have "some really great countries" right now, Trump said. "We had a period of time where I thought Iran would join the Abraham Accords along with everybody else and, frankly, they would have been better off than where they are right now," Trump said. After attending the NATO summit last week, Trump said European countries like Germany and France treated the US much better than they did a few years ago. "They laughed at us. They thought we were a joke," Trump said. "You had a president that kept falling downstairs and falling on stages and couldn't find an entrance." America has "wealth and spirit" and "people respect our country again," Trump declared. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
