The Daily Mail reported Monday that US Agency for International Development (USAID) employees got a nasty surprise when they noticed emails telling them the headquarters was shut down and to stay home according to NBC News. ... This fulfills a promise made by X owner and DOGE chairman Elon Musk early Monday morning when he stated during an audio appearance on X that total elimination of USAID was the only option. "It became apparent that it's not an apple with a worm it in," Musk said. "What we have is just a ball of worms. You've got to basically get rid of the whole thing. It's beyond repair.
