Trump's Failed Assassin 'Was a Consumer' of Dems' Media Narrative, Gov. DeSantis Says"There's a lot of people in our society who may have a screw loose and if you are constantly telling them that American democracy is going to end if this guy gets elected president, well, somebody's going to feel that they are justified for doing this. And so, I do think that the apocalyptic rhetoric has increased the threats to Donald Trump, no question about it." -Governor Ron DeSantis
"I saw a lot of Democrats attacking Trump today, really didn't even give this much of a thought. They're just all out with the rhetoric all over again," DeSantis told Fox News' Jesse Watters on Monday while explaining how Florida is launching its own investigation into the attempted assassination. Before his failed assassination attempt, suspect Ryan Wesley Routh appears to have been a fan of legacy media outlets that promote incendiary anti-Trump narratives, DeSantis said:
"I think that's what the investigation can show," the Florida governor said. Liberal media are bombarding their audiences with Democrats' claims that Trump is a threat to democracy—sending the message that violence against the Republican presidential candidate is justified, DeSantis warned: "There's a lot of people in our society who may have a screw loose and if you are constantly telling them that American democracy is going to end if this guy gets elected president, well, somebody's going to feel that they are justified for doing this." "And so, I do think that the apocalyptic rhetoric has increased the threats to Donald Trump, no question about it," DeSantis said. The liberal media are, indeed, constantly claiming that Trump is a threat to democracy, and his failed assassin has even repeated their claim, an article by NewsBusters' Bill D'Agostino explains:
A video montage compiled by D'Agostino provides examples of how viewers are being constantly bludgeoned with incendiary anti-Trump claims by legacy media outlets like MSNBC, CNN, NBC News. On MSNBC, for example, Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) even called for Donald Trump to be "eliminated" during an interview last fall, the NewsBusters video shows. "He is destructive to our democracy and he has to be eliminated," Rep. Goldman told MSNBC. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Click Here to watch the Fox News video segment.
