Life-threatening epilepsy

Carlie remembered her life as full of seizures and blackouts. The epilepsy was so severe that she had to take careful control of her medications that, even a 15-minute delay in taking it, would cause another episode.

But in 2004, something happened to Carly.

She went to a friend's Bible study. And she noticed something different when she was with the group of ladies.

Before they started, the leader invited them to be silent and listen to the Holy Spirit. Unfamiliar with the experience, Carlie would peek out to look for others.

But then, she became quiet and suddenly heard a voice inside her mind. She knew it was not coming from her, but from Someone greater.

God told her, "Carly, you know this epilepsy; you haven't ever let Me in on it. You can be healed from this in two weeks' time if you choose to be."

God continued, "You know, it's just like a switch You can flick it off. Just turn epilepsy off when you're ready to."

Deeply surprised by God's word, Carlie kept it to herself. And indeed, within two weeks, God did a miracle in her life. He showed her how epilepsy had become a part of her life and how He wanted her to be free.

[Carlie told God that if someone at the next Bible study prayed for her without her asking, she would know it was from Him.] But the Bible study ended, and still, no one offered to pray for her.

God Brings Healing

As she and her friend went home, her friend suddenly told her, "I really feel I [was] meant to pray for you." And so, she put her hand on Carlie and declared, "Be healed in the name of Jesus!"

And at that moment, Carlie knew something just switched inside her. She saw herself flipping the switch to epilepsy off and choosing life.

[According to her video testimony, Carlie stopped taking her medication and has not experienced another seizure.]
