What, if anything, can the incoming Republican majority in the House of Representatives do about it?

"No longer will the Democrats be able to ignore the problem," Kevin McCarthy, the presumed House Speaker-in-waiting told "Sunday Morning Futures." He plans to visit the border soon.

"When I become speaker—and I'm traveling to the border next Tuesday for a number of different reasons: One, to thank these border agents for all the work they've done, being overwhelming; get the latest information; sit with the members as well, because we will roll out like we already have an ability to secure this border.

"But when I become speaker, I'll move meetings actually at the border so the Democrats can no longer ignore the problem, so the American public can actually have the information, and we'll move legislation on the floor to secure that border out of the House, on to the Senate, and we will continue to fight to make this happen.

"It's not just the millions of illegal people coming across this border. This is where the fentanyl from China comes, that will kill 300 Americans today, the number one killer of the next generation. This is where people on the terrorist watch list, more than 98 that have entered this nation, why are they coming here? What do they have planned? Who are they talking with?"

As CNSNews reported, a federal judge in DC has blocked the Biden administration from using Title 42, a Trump-era emergency health order, to expel migrants from the United States.

Judge Emmet Sullivan of the US District Court in Washington, DC, called the use of Title 42 "arbitrary and capricious," and a violation of the law because it was not implemented properly.

The Biden Homeland Security Department last week asked for a five-week delay in implementing the court's order to "allow the government to prepare for an orderly transition to new policies at the border."

But already overwhelmed Customs and Border Protection agents anticipate a rush of people who previously could be summarily turned away for public health reasons. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
