Over Half of Americans Are against Transgender Athletes Competing in Female Sports: PollQuestion from 5/17/22 poll: "Thinking about transgender women and girls—people whose sex was classified as male at birth but who currently identify as female—do you think transgender women and girls should or should not be allowed to compete in sports with other women and girls at each of the following levels?" — Should be allowed-Professional sports: 28; College sports 28; High school sports 30; Youth sports: 33 / Should NOT be allowed-Professional sports: 58; College sports: 58; High school sports: 55; Youth sports 49
As reported by the Washington Post, the poll found that 55 percent of Americans are against male to female transgender athletes competing in women and girls sports in high school, while 58 percent oppose it at the college level and 58 percent oppose it at the professional level. Conversely, only 3 in 10 Americans expressed their support for trans athletes in female sports across all levels. Fifteen percent said they had no opinion on the matter...
