Missing 'Miracle Man' Found after 4 Days, Gives Life to Christ"I got a call on the fourth day from my mother. And my mother says, 'Jenny, stay calm.' And of course in a moment like this, you're wondering, OK, is this the bad news? Or is this the good news?" -Jenny Weaver
Dorsey, who has Type 1 diabetes, first disappeared from Lakeland, Florida, on June 17. The last messages Weaver had from him before he went missing were chilling: "I'm about to die. I don't know what to do" and "Please help me. I want another chance to be with my daughters." "What's going on? Where are you? What's happening?" Weaver says she messaged back. "And no response." Her brother had sent similar messages to their family chat, Weaver says, "Asking for the family to please come help him, that people were trying to kill him, and he was going to die. And so we knew that he was here, just coming down for Father's Day, here in this Lakeland area. And he does not live here." Weaver knew her brother's Type 1 diabetes made him especially vulnerable to confusion, so when the family had not found him by the next day, she posted on Facebook, pleading for help: "ATTENTION!! MISSING SINCE THURSDAY JUNE 17TH - My brother Mike Peoples real name Mike Dorsey, last seen in Lakeland Florida on Kathleen street- PLEASE SHARE!!! Contact me with any info." Her original post was shared 326 times. But Weaver and her husband also put feet to their prayers and posts, heading to the Lakeland area to search for Dorsey themselves. Their fear heightened as they saw the neighborhood where he had been. "We watched people come out with guns. We watched drug deals happen on the streets right in front of us as we're going in," she says. But the people of God came through for her, Weaver explains. "We ended up getting a search party of 50 people on the third day, around 50 people came from all over, mainly from All Nations Church. Daniel Kolenda asked for the search party, and the people came." The team passed out flyers and looked everywhere. "We prayed and just commanded death to let him go," Weaver says. "We commanded every demon to loose its hold on my brother, and we went home on that third day." The family had hired a private investigator and planned to hire a dog search team, Weaver says. And then it happened. "I got a call on the fourth day from my mother," Weaver says. "And my mother says, 'Jenny, stay calm.' And of course in a moment like this, you're wondering, OK, is this the bad news? Or is this the good news?" "It's good news!" her mother told her. "Michael just called me; he's in a hospital in Jacksonville." For more of the story, listen to the entire episode of this Charisma News podcast or watch at this link. After some recovery time, Dorsey came to Weaver's family home. "He wanted to go to church with us," she says. "And he came to church last Sunday. And Daniel Kolenda prayed with him and laid hands on him and prayed for the diabetes. And my brother received Jesus into his heart; he surrendered his life. And since that time, my brother and I have been sitting out there in that kitchen every day reading the Bible, worshipping God together. He's just so excited about this new life that God has for him." And Weaver again turned to Facebook to share the best part of her brother's story: "I'VE NEVER SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORSAKEN!!! Hell lost another one, my brother's Free!!" Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
