40 Days For Life's Spring 2021 Campaign Saves More Than 500 Preborn Babies

Bridget Sielicki : Apr 2, 2021  LiveAction.org

A young mom arrived early at her appointment at a Little Rock Planned Parenthood so she had time to step into the on-site mobile ultrasound unit provided by two local pregnancy centers. After seeing her 8-week-old preborn child, she changed her mind about her abortion appointment. The woman told vigil participants that she felt that their presence that day was a sign that she was supposed to keep her baby.

40 Days for Life began in Texas in 2007, and today reaches 1000 cities in 63 countries. It is a targeted campaign of prayer, fasting, and an around-the-clock peaceful vigil outside abortion facilities. Throughout the 40-day campaign, organizers shared many success stories, including some of the following:

Schenectady, New York

In Schenectady, a woman in her third trimester was intent on aborting her baby, but she changed her mind after hearing a speaker at a pro-life rally in front of the city's Planned Parenthood. After approaching campaign participants, the woman received assistance at the on-site ultrasound van.

"Everyone backed away as the team provided an ultrasound," reported the campaign leader. "She is going to keep her [baby]."

Colorado Springs, Colorado

A desperate young mother in Colorado Springs took the first drug of the abortion pill regimen (mifepristone) because she was afraid she would be unable to financially care for another child. Soon after taking the pill, she felt horrible and regretful. After approaching vigil participants, she was given an emergency appointment with a local pro-life physician who would administer the abortion pill reversal protocol. She and her husband were also given a cash gift card to help them through their difficult time.

The woman later texted the sidewalk counselors, saying, "I really appreciate the card. I am soooo happy. Thank you very much! God bless. One day I know I will be able to help someone."

Chula Vista, California

Two women approached prayer warriors on different days, each tearfully admitting that they had changed their minds about getting an abortion after seeing the signs and the people praying.

"When we are seen holding our signs in prayer, it can be a sign from God that changes a woman's heart," said the local campaign leader.

Little Rock, Arkansas

young mom arrived early at her appointment at a Little Rock Planned Parenthood so she had time to step into the on-site mobile ultrasound unit provided by two local pregnancy centers. After seeing her 8-week-old preborn child, she changed her mind about her abortion appointment. The woman told vigil participants that she felt that their presence that day was a sign that she was supposed to keep her baby.

While praying and offering a witness to life outside an abortion facility can seem daunting, success stories like these underscore how powerful that witness can be. Hundreds of lives were saved this spring thanks to the countless vigil participants who showed up to offer prayer, guidance, and support. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
