'Hope For America': a Poetic, Prophetic Word for This Time"You see pain, a broken nation; I see hope and restoration..."
In 2004, the Lord called him to a powerful mission of fostering reconciliation between blacks and whites, as he set off on a journey to 'ask forgiveness for Liverpool's role in the transatlantic slave trade,' among other initiatives. Yesterday, I received a message from him in the form of a poem he felt God had given him. "I've been following all that has been happening with the racial protests in America," said Sadler. "Even though I felt I should have something relevant to say about it, having been somewhat involved in racial issues in the past, I hadn't really gotten anything I felt was from the Lord to share, until now. "As I was waiting on the Lord this morning, He began ministering to me His kindness, and tears filled my eyes as I felt His heart of compassion for America. He began to speak to me that despite all of what's happening there, He has a great plan to redeem and bring good out of it."
Here is the poem, which the Lord gave to Geoff Sadler: HOPE FOR AMERICA You see darkness, I see light; I see morning, you see night You see pain, a broken nation; I see hope and restoration  I will heal the wounds so deep; so deep they've left a scar And I say to you "look to Me; for that's not who you are"  Lay down your arms, for even though your streets are drenched with blood What the devil meant for harm, I will turn around for good  I'll break the serpent's lies and his twisting of the truth And draw you back with kindness, to the days of your youth  Then you will know a liberty, you've never known before For I have destined you for unity and love, not civil war  So sons and daughters, if your hearts are hard or become numb I say to you "look to Me; the best is yet to come" ~ This poem certainly touched my heart, and brought me hope, and that is something we ALL need at this time. I read yesterday that George Floyd's sweet little six-year-old daughter said, "Daddy changed the world." I believe she is right. And I was reminded of the Scripture that says: "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives." -John 12:24 NLT -------- Geoff Sadler grew up in Liverpool, England, and has travelled throughout Europe, South America, The United States, and the former Soviet Union. He was featured on various media outlets during his trip "The Amazing Grace Tour", including NBC and CBS news, Charisma Magazine and The Washington Times; as well as in various local newspapers and radio shows in the towns that he went to. "The Amazing Grace Tour" is his first book and combines excerpts from his journey of reconciliation, with various historical facts and stories about the places that he visited.
