Hollywood Actress Praises God for Sparing Home from Flooding: Believes God is Bringing Revival to California"I have witnessed people who have lost their homes that really weren't Believers or didn't really bring God into their life that are now [asking], 'Hey, what about God?'" -Brenda Epperson
This time, instead of fighting blazing California wildfires, she's fighting the wind and the waves with prayer. Over the weekend, Epperson shared a video on Instagram showing floodwaters rising from the recent rains in Southern California and the lack of protection from runoff due to the recent wildfires. The actress asked for prayers for those who lived in the fire areas as several homes were already flooded. Epperson wrote: "Waters flooded our creek inches from barn, horses okay for now, can evacuate if necessary. Pray for fire areas and homes in way of this raging water, homes near us already flooding. Bless You God be with everyone. #JustBElieve" The video shows floodwaters rising quickly, bringing with them mud and soil. The recent heavy rains in California have left hillsides vulnerable to mudslides, especially in areas where the wildfires burned away trees that could stop or slow down mudslides. On Sunday, Epperson again posted to Instagram a short video with a praise report thanking everyone who prayed. "UPDATE The water has receded! Thank you for your prayers and love!" she wrote. "The bridge is still there, which is really exciting news. The creek—the water has come down. There's tons of mud behind me because the water came up so high," Epperson explained in the video. "Right now we are out of trouble. Thank you for your prayers and your love and just pray for all those that are in the burn areas," she added. This is at least the second time God spared Epperson's home. The first was when deadly wildfires ravaged the region. The actress told CBN News in November that she prayed Psalm 91 over her property. "I just kept praying Psalm 91 over our home, 'Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in His mighty shadow. I will say of the Lord He is my refuge and my God in whom I trust,'" Epperson said. The fire destroyed the land around her but it did not touch her home. Epperson's home was so safe that animals from nearby farms took refuge from the fire on her property. "God stopped that fire right at our property line," she said. "Every horse was okay. They had water; they didn't even have ash on them." Epperson recently told CBN News she believes God will use the wildfires to bring spiritual revival to California. "I just really believe that God is going to use this fire to cause revival to break out in people's hearts and in their minds and by His Spirit," she declared. "I have witnessed people who have lost their homes that really weren't Believers or didn't really bring God into their life that are now [asking], 'Hey, what about God?'"
