"These are more than just an attack on Christmas. This is an attack on Jesus Christ," Graham said on my Fox Nation television program.

Graham, president of Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, is one of the nation's most prominent evangelical Christian leaders.

"The secularists want to do everything they can to take Christ out of everything in this country—even His birthday," he said on Starnes Country. "The secularists want to destroy not only the name of Christ but take Him out of our society completely..."

Graham said he is encouraged that people of faith across the nation are standing up and fighting back against the attempts to take Christ out of Christmas. And he gave some of the credit to President Trump.

"When the president takes a stand, like saying 'Merry Christmas', this emboldens others to take a stand just like the president—not just to say, 'Merry Christmas', but to fight back," he said.

He referenced the incident in Elkhorn, Nebraska where citizens complained after a principal banned anything related to Christmas—including Christmas carols and candy canes.

The school district reversed the ban and placed the principal on administrative leave.

"People rose up and now she's on the naughty list," Graham said. "When the president takes a stand for Christmas and others take a stand, I say God bless you." Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
