"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior."

It's important to note that the purest reading of this passage STRESSES THAT WE MUST PRAY FOR ALL IN AUTHORITY. This ALWAYS includes those from both sides of the political spectrum, but with an emphasis on those in the highest authority such as kings, presidents, and prime ministers.

And in this case, this is a clarion call to pray for President Donald Trump and his family. I'm on it too. Please join me!
